Open the iTunes program on your computer.
Select the playlist you would like to edit in the lower-left corner of the iTunes window. iTunes will display the current order of the songs in the playlist. To change the order of the songs, drag the song you would like to move to its desired location. Repeat until all of the songs in the playlist are in the desired order.
Select your iPod from the list of available "Devices" on the left-hand side of the iTunes window.
Click the "Music" tab. Select the playlist you edited in Step #3. Click the "Sync" button. The playlist will transfer back to your iPod in the correct edited order.
An iPod is a portable media player marketed and sold by Apple Inc. iPods allow you to organize and play your favorite music on a small, hand-held device. As of October 2010, the current line of iPods includes the iPod Touch, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod Classic. The iPod is designed to sync with a computer's iTunes program. Music is loaded onto your iPod directly from the iTunes program, and iTunes also allows you to create and edit playlists for your iPod.
