Sync iPods With the iMac & Windows - Install iTunes on your computer. The process will work the same with PCs and Macs.

Plug the iPod into a spare USB socket. iTunes will open automatically.
Select to either manually sync or automatically sync iPod. If you want to connect the iPod to any other computer than the one you're using, select the manual sync. If you only intend to use one computer, select automatic.

Choose "Photos." Select to automatically upload photos to iPod, if desired.



Click "Film" or "TV Programs" to choose whether to automatically sync with your iPod. Allow the iPod to update and then eject.

The advantage of the iPod is the ease of use with iTunes. When your first get your iPod, you will need to sync it with your computer before you can start putting music, video and photos on the device. Ipods work with both Windows and Mac by using the iTunes media player available to download for both Mac and PC. Once the iPod as been synced with a computer, you will also be able to use it as an organizer and clock.
