Apple Mobile Services is a program that detects your iPod, iPad or iPhone and displays it in the iTunes' source pane, according to the official Apple site. If you wish to disable the program from automatically starting whenever an Apple device is connected to your computer, you can do so by accessing your PC's administrative tools, which allows you to configure the settings of the program. Once disabled, your PC will no longer open iTunes whenever your Apple media player is connected to the computer.
