Attach one end of the USB cable to the bottom of your iPod and the other end of the cable to the computer.
Open iTunes. In most cases a box will pop up asking if you want to sync with this computer. Click "Yes" or "Sync" and wait while the music syncs. Don't touch the iPod or its cable while it syncs, or unplug it.
Click the iPod under "Devices" in the iTunes window if the application doesn't offer syncing, check the tabs at the top and click "Music." Select the option "Sync music" and click "Apply."
Sync music to your Apple iPod effortlessly with iTunes, the program Apple offers to complement the iPod and help you use your device. Syncing will also ensure that you are automatically following copyright laws, because the iPod and computer will be linked together and keep all your purchased music in that closed loop. When you connect to your computer to sync, it will also charge your iPod at the same time.
