Click on the "Import CD" tab in the bottom right corner of the iTunes window.
Connect your iPod to your computer with the supplied USB cable. When your computer starts reading your iPod, an iPod icon will appear in your source list on the left hand side of iTunes.
Click on "Music" in the iTunes source list. This will bring up all of the music you have added to iTunes.
Apple's iTunes software has made purchasing music online for your iPod a very simple task. However, buying all new music for your iPod--some of which can hold up to 40,000 songs--would be a very expensive endeavor. Fortunately, buying new music isn't the only task the software allows you to do. It also allows you to add your own CD collection to your music library, which can then be easily transferred to your iPod.
