Check the Weather on an IPod Touch

Check the Weather on an IPod Touch - Make sure your wireless network capabilities are turned on before you check the weather on your iPod touch. Tap "Settings" from your home screen and choose "Wi-Fi." Once this option has been turned on, your iPod will automatically connect to the Internet whenever you choose the "Weather" application.

Touch the "Weather" icon on the home screen to access the weather screen. The current weather conditions and 6-day extended forecast for your specified city will appear. The screen will show as light blue when it is daytime in your specified city and purple at night.
Choose whether you want the temperature readings to be displayed in Fahrenheit or Celsius. Touch the "i" inside a circle icon and select "F" or "C."

Add a new city to the weather screen by touching the "i" that is inside a circle and then the plus sign ("+"). Type in the city's name or zip code and touch "Search." Choose the city you want from the results list.

Swipe your finger to the left or right on the touch screen of your iPod to see the weather in another city. The series of dots at the bottom of the weather screen indicates the number of cities you have stored. Flicking back and forth will flip through each city's weather conditions.

You live in New England and are packing for a fun-filled vacation to the Pacific Northwest. You don't have time to find a weather report on TV and need to know whether or not to bring an extra sweater. It has never been easier to check the weather than now with the iPod touch. Program in cities you routinely visit and in a few swipes, you can complete your packing with ease.
