Put Songs on My iPod 4G

Put Songs on My iPod 4G - Use the supplied USB cable to connect your iPod to your computer by inserting the USB end into a high-speed USB port on your computer and the other end into the dock connector on the bottom of your iPod.

Open iTunes on your computer by double-clicking the desktop icon or opening from your computer's applications folder. If iTunes is your default music player it might open automatically when you connect your iPod.
Click on "Music" below "Library" in the main control panel, which is located on the left side of iTunes, to bring up all of the music that is stored in your iTunes library.

Use the scroll bar on the right side of the interface to scroll through your music or type the name of the artist, song or album you want to add to your iPod in the search bar in the upper-right corner of iTunes.

Click on the song you want to add to your iPod so that it is highlighted in the main iTunes window.

While the iPod has been updated many times since the fourth-generation hit the market in July 2004, many of the core functions and features have remained the same. The fourth-generation was the first iPod ---aside from the iPod Mini --- to have the now-famous click wheel for navigating the unit, and at 20GB and 40GB was the largest memory capacity iPod to date. Filling that storage space is the same with the fourth-generation model as it is with the models that have succeeded it, needing nothing more than music, the supplied cable and the latest edition of iTunes.
