Put Stuff on My iPod Without Deleting - Plug the iPod cord into the iPod and then place the other end of the same cord into one available USB port on the computer.

Open iTunes.
Click the name of the iPod that was plugged in under "Devices" on the left side of iTunes. When you click on the iPod, tabs will appear at the top of the center window in iTunes.

Select "Summary" by clicking the tab. When you have selected this tab, four options for the iPod will be listed in the middle iTunes window at the bottom of that window.



Click on the inside of the box for the "Manually manage music and videos" option and a check will be placed inside the box, enabling that option on the iPod.

The iTunes software can be used to put items such as audio and videos onto every iPod on the market. If you are using one iPod with iTunes on your computer, the program may attempt to automatically delete items from other iPods if you try to sync them. You can prevent iTunes from deleting stuff from your iPod by changing the iPod settings in iTunes.
