Report a Stolen iPod - Contact your local police department. Do not call 911, but rather make a with the local non-emergency phone number or police department. Make a report for stolen property.

Contact Apple at 1-800-275-2273. Give them the serial number of your stolen iPod. They will give you a reference number.
Fax a copy of the police report to Apple. They will provide this information to you. Include your reference number on the top of the report. If someone tries to register the iPod for use on iTunes, Apple will contact the police department and provide them with the information the individual tried to register with.





An iPod is a pocket-sized device used to play music files. It is manufactured by Apple. The iPod comes in a few different sizes and colors. In addition to music, some iPods also have the ability to store, play and make videos and take pictures. If an iPod is stolen, you must report it to the police and then report it to Apple. If the iPod later is used with iTunes to download music, Apple will forward the information to the police agency who made the police report.
