Remove iPod Duplicates

Remove iPod Duplicates - Connect the iPod to your computer and wait for iTunes to detect the device and launch.

Click "Music" under the "Library" category at the top of the screen.
Click "View," then click "Show Duplicates."

Click on each file that you would like to remove from your iTunes library and click "Delete." Click "Move to Recycle Bin" to delete the files from your hard drive as well.

Click "File," then click "Sync iPod." The duplicate songs removed from your iTunes library will be removed from the iPod automatically.

With the vast amount of storage available on today's iPods, it is natural that you might end up with some songs included on the iPod more than once. This can mean you hear the same song too often when your iPod is in shuffle mode. Use iTunes to search for duplicate songs, remove them and conserve storage space and improve the experience of using the iPod's shuffle mode.
