Click the "Check Registration Status" link located under the registration section. Select the "Get started" button that appears on the next page.
Enter your Apple ID and password into the designated fields. Click the "Sign in" link. If you don't have an Apple ID, you will need to register for one by clicking on the "Create One" link located on the right side of the computer screen and follow system prompts to create one.
Review your registration status. If it says you are not registered, take the time to register your iPod.
Registering your iPod with Apple is not required but is highly recommended. It will allow Apple access to your information right away and immediately start addressing your issues, rather than spending time verifying your product and its eligibility. If you are unsure if you have registered your iPod, you can verify this information by calling technical support or by checking its registration status online.
