Sync an Ipod With a Mac - Turn on your Mac. The Mac will need to be on to run the iSync program.

Turn on the iPod. The Mac will not recognize a connection otherwise.
Connect the iPod to the Mac. This can be done with a FireWire 400 cable or the iPod dock connector with a high-power USB port.

Open the iSync program. The first time you use iSync you will need to click on "Devices" then "Add Device."



Click on "iPod" and then click on "Sync Now." The iSync program will transfer information from the iCal Mac Address Book program.
