Use iPod Touch Without a Credit Card

Use iPod Touch Without a Credit Card - Open the iTunes program on your computer and plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of the iPod touch. Plug the other end of the cable into the USB 2.0 port on your computer.

Click "next" on the iPod Setup Wizard and follow the on-screen instructions to register the iPod. Click the iTunes Store tab underneath the "store" section in the iTunes sidebar and click the "App store" button near the top of the iTunes Store window.
Click the "free" button next to any of the applications in the Top 10 free Apps list.

Select "create new account" and then "continue." Click the check box at the bottom of the window to agree to the iTunes service agreement and select "continue" to proceed.

Enter your e-mail address, which will be used as your Apple ID, and create a password for the account.

While you don't need to set up an iTunes account to use an iPod touch, you will need to set up an iTunes account through the iTunes program on your computer if you wish to download free applications from the App Store on your iPod touch. Upon creating a new iTunes account, you have the option to select "none" as a payment method, which enables free application downloads from the App Store and free music and video downloads from the iTunes Store.
