Link My iPod to Another User

Link My iPod to Another User - Back up all of the multimedia files that you had on the iPod. Once you link the device to another account, all the files you had stored on it will be deleted, so make sure you won't lose any files.

Log into the account containing the library to which you wish to link your iPod and launch the iTunes program.
Plug your iPod's USB cable into the iPod and then into one of the USB ports on the computer you logged into. Wait a few moments for iTunes to recognize and load the device.

Click the button "Erase and Sync" on the window that pops up. This window warns you that the iPod is linked to another account and that linking it will delete all the media files that are currently stored on the device. After you click the "Erase and Sync" button, the multimedia contents of the iPod will be deleted, and the iPod will be linked to the account you are currently using.

In recent years, Apple's iPod has met with great popularity among both Apple and PC users as a multi-function peripheral device. While the applications installed on iPods are managed through the device itself, the other multimedia content (music, pictures and video files) are managed by being linked to a specific user's media library within Apple's multimedia program, iTunes. The device can only be linked to one user's library at a time. However, if you want to link your iPod to another user, you can do so in a few simple steps.
