The iPod is enjoyed by millions of people very day. All iPods share a faceplate that provides access to the controls while protecting the electronics powering the player. You can replace a scratched or damaged faceplate by buying another one from an iPod supply store. This, however, will void the warranty. Replacing the faceplate yourself will save the time and cost of a trip to an Apple service center. The process is the same regardless of which iPod model you own.
